My name is Bayu Anggoro, people usually call me just Bayu. I was born and grew up in Yogyakarta City, my homeland which I love very much. Currently I live in Bantul, one of the districts located on the south side of Yogyakarta, with my beloved wife and two children.
I was born into a simple family, raised by my parents, until I grew up and now I can be independent and work. My hobby is writing, whether for my blog, website, or social media. As time went by, in 2017, I became interested in working as a tour driver.
In the end I tried to pursue my career as a driver. I met many foreigners from all over the world, from Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. I am very happy with this job because it broadens my horizons, makes me want to continue learning and upgrade my thinking.
When I was still studying at school, I didn’t like English lessons, but now English is a necessity for me and I really love this language after my main languages, namely Javanese and Indonesian.
As a manifestation of my responsibility as a tour driver, I try to provide the best experience for every tourist, starting from providing recommendations for interesting places that have never been visited, inviting them to try traditional culinary delights, mingling with local people, and anything that can make my customers happy.
Now, driving tourists is my daily life. I love this job so much, more than any other job. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new things, having new friends or family. With me, you can feel Yogyakarta like your own home.
I’m not like most drivers, maybe I’m different. I will not recommend places, restaurants, or shops that only benefit me. You want to go there, I will take you there. I want you to truly feel the ease and comfort during your holiday trip in Jogja.
As the years passed, more and more people started to get to know me through this website and my social media accounts. There is a lot of tourist demand for hiring a car with driver in Yogyakarta. I pondered how to make it easier for them to find transportation in Yogyakarta.
In the end, I found some friends in the same field of work. Then I offered their services to tourists who needed private car with driver in Yogyakarta. I don’t receive much commission, I just help make it easier for tourists to meet other drivers besides myself, if there is a little gift from other drivers who work with me, that might be a reward, but I don’t expect much more.
Nowadays, what was once just me has now become us. Initially there was only one driver, now there are dozens of drivers. The driver team at Java Private Driver is spread throughout Java Island, such as Jakarta, Bandung, Tegal, Semarang, Jepara, Yogyakarta, Magelang, Solo/Surakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Probolinggo, and Banyuwangi.
